Hello Friends!
My name is Heather and I’m a 30 something year old, born and raised in the beautiful state of Maine. I live here with my Fiance Mike, my two dogs Rocco & Sadie, and my little ginger cat Dougie. I created this website in hopes of finding fellow Cysters, or anyone for that matter, going through similar situations. If I can get even ONE person to feel like they are not alone on this journey, then this page is a success. I also hope to shine light on the issue with big time insurance companies not recognizing Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOS) and Infertility as legitimate health issues. I think if we all work together, we can make the changes we want to see happen.

Don’t mind me, just creeping through your blog 🙂 I just signed up for my first half marathon this October in Maine! I’m so excited to see the state, it has always looked absolutely gorgeous. I’m looking forward to reading more about your story, I have a sneaking suspicion I have PCOS or at least a form of it as well. Your blog has been a treasure trove of info so far.

Ohh thank you so much for your kind words! When I got diagnosed in 2010 it wasn’t heard of all that much. My mom actually found an article about it in a magazine, which is what led me to the Doctors! I think there are more of us with it than people know.
How exciting, doing your first half marathon! Good for you! What section of Maine are you going to? October is absolutely gorgeous in Maine!
